High school musical wins at kids choice

The 22nd Kids Choice in America awards show was held recently in Los Angeles. The awards give kids a chance to vote for their favorites.

Disney's "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" graduated with multiple honors at the Kids' Choice Awards. It was selected as the favorite movie and its star, Vanessa Hudgens was also selected as the favorite movie actress.

The Favorite Animated Movie honor went to Dreamworks "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa." And the Favorite Movie Actor was Will Smith for his performance in the movie "Hancock. Jack Black won the " Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie" honor for "Kung Fu Panda."

Miley Cyrus won the Favorite Female Singer honor. The Favorite Book turned out to be the "Twilight" series.

Awards were also given for TV shows, music group, male and female athlete, male singer, and video game.

The audience of the awards ceremony was virtually all kids and teenagers. The awards were first held in 1988 and have become very popular among American kids.
